Transforms from a flat surface into a functional shape by folding and flipping. Simple and intuitive. The two-piece set can be easily converted from a stool and base into a seat shell and table with just one move. Quick, lightweight, and tool-free assembly of all parts. Waterproof, durable, and long-lasting – perfect for all outdoor activities.

MATERIAL
4 mm birch plywood is very lightweight yet stable. Thanks to multiple layers of clear varnish, it is suitable for outdoor use as well. Ripstop nylon is water-repellent and extremely tear-resistant; it is commonly used in outdoor clothing and sailboats. The cord, a bridle line from kite construction, has a very high breaking strength despite its small diameter. The webbing is made of polyamide, similar to straps used in high-quality trekking backpacks. The quick-release buckle is made of aluminum and plastic. The neoprene is coated on both sides with nylon, making it water-repellent, stretchy, and durable, even under heavy use. Additionally, it is resistant to oils, fats, solvents, and heat.

COLOR
The complementary colors orange and blue of the neoprene serve as the base. The high color contrast between the deep blue and the vibrant orange immediately makes the stool stand out. Birch wood is added, a fine-grained, light-colored wood. Its surface is smooth and silky matte. All additional components are black to complete the minimalist color concept and create a contrast to the light birch.

NAME
Chair – In Japan, it is traditional to sit on the floor, usually without furniture or with a so-called Zaisu, a chair without legs. The proper way of sitting is called Seiza, a kneeling position where one sits on their heels. The name of my stool reflects the idea of combining furniture design with the Japanese folding art, Origami. It’s a short, catchy word with strong recognition value.
